The Quick Answer
- Follow the instructions below to set up IMAP access in SnapperMail.
- Google Apps users, please follow the default instructions unless otherwise noted, replacing 'your_domain.com' with your actual domain name.
You'll need the Enterprise edition of SnapperMail to access your email messages with IMAP. Here's how to configure SnapperMail:
- Enable IMAP in your Gmail settings.
- Tap Menu.
- Select Accounts.
- Select New Account....
- Select IMAP4....
- Type a name/description for the account.
- Type the following:
- Your name
- Your full email address
- Select Server.
- Select the following and type connection details:
- IMAP4 Server is imap.gmail.com for both Gmail and Google Apps
- Username is your full email address, including @gmail.com or @your_domain.com
- Password is your email password
- SMTP Server is smtp.gmail.com
- Username is your full email address, including @gmail.com or @your_domain.com
- Password is your email password
- Select More...
- Select Always secure (wrapped port) under IMAP4 Settings.
- Select Always secure (wrapped port) under SMTP Settings.
- Deselect all checkboxes.
- Select OK, then OK again, then Done.
- Check our recommended client settings, and adjust your client's settings as needed.
