The Quick Answer

  • Follow the instructions below to set up IMAP access in SnapperMail.
  • Google Apps users, please follow the default instructions unless otherwise noted, replacing 'your_domain.com' with your actual domain name.

You'll need the Enterprise edition of SnapperMail to access your email messages with IMAP. Here's how to configure SnapperMail:

  1. Enable IMAP in your Gmail settings.
  2. Tap Menu.
  3. Select Accounts.
  4. Select New Account....
  5. Select IMAP4....
  6. Type a name/description for the account.
  7. Type the following:
    • Your name
    • Your full email address
  8. Select Server.
  9. Select the following and type connection details:
    • IMAP4 Server is imap.gmail.com for both Gmail and Google Apps
    • Username is your full email address, including @gmail.com or @your_domain.com
    • Password is your email password
    • SMTP Server is smtp.gmail.com
    • Username is your full email address, including @gmail.com or @your_domain.com
    • Password is your email password
  10. Select More...
  11. Select Always secure (wrapped port) under IMAP4 Settings.
  12. Select Always secure (wrapped port) under SMTP Settings.
  13. Deselect all checkboxes.
  14. Select OK, then OK again, then Done.
  15. Check our recommended client settings, and adjust your client's settings as needed.
