The Quick Answer
- Follow the instructions below to set up POP access in Entourage X.
- Google Apps users, please follow the default instructions unless otherwise noted, replacing 'your_domain.com' with your actual domain name.
- Enable POP in Gmail.
- Open Entourage.
- Click 'Tools,' and select 'Account Settings...'
- Click 'New.' (If you receive the 'Account Setup Assistant,' click 'Configure account manually.')
- Select 'POP' next to 'Account type:,' and click 'OK.'
- Enter a name for your new account in the 'Account Name:' field.
- Enter your full name in the 'Your Name:' field.
- Enter your full email address (username@gmail.com) in the 'Email Address:' field. Google Apps users, enter your full address in the format 'username@your_domain.com.'
- Enter your full email address (including '@gmail.com' or '@your_domain.com') in the 'Account ID' field.
- Enter 'pop.gmail.com' in the 'Incoming Mail Server:' field. Google Apps users, enter the server names provided, don't add your domain name in this step.
- Click 'Click here for advanced receiving options' in the 'Receiving mail' section.
- Check the box next to 'This POP service requires a secure connection (SSL).'
- Enter your email password in the 'Your Password:' field.
- Enter 'smtp.gmail.com' in the 'Outgoing Mail Server:' field.
- Click 'Click here for advanced sending options' in the 'Sending mail' section.
- Check the box next to 'SMTP service requires secure connection (SSL), ' and click 'OK.'
- Check the box next to 'Override default SMTP port:,' and enter '465' in the box.
- Check the box next to 'SMTP server requires authentication,' and click 'OK.'

Save Changes on the
